The Plan

I’d made a plan to do thorough cleaning upstairs in our home. The goal and plan was to have completed the project within five days. Five days, you may ask? Yes, five days of scrubbing floor boards, wiping walls, blinds, doors, floors, etc. It was the kind of cleaning that would make your nose burn from the cleaning products. However, that week turned into two months. After two months I finally made a decision to get it done. I MADE A DECISION.

The first clause of Psalms‬ ‭138:8‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) declares that, “The Lord will work out his plans for my life...” The word “work” also means to labor. My Holy Ghost imagination begin to see God laboring (working hard) to make certain that the plan for my life comes to pass. Upon imagining what was done to make certain that I duplicate the blue print that He created for my life, I felt such a sense of humility. HE WORKED HARD FOR ME!! God didn’t fall asleep on the job, he didn’t abandon the job, nor did he allow any distractions to prolong the job. He did what He intended to do. He WORKED and is making certain that it’s DONE!!! In actuality, God has already done the hard work, all we have to do is implement the plan already set.

Honestly, the task would have still gone undone until I heard, “What are you waiting for to get it done? The plan has been set.” It was then that I realized that I would not be comfortable until the plan in my head had been manifested by means of a task completed.

We’ve waisted enough time...the laboring happened during the planning stages with God. Prime example, have you ever worked on a group project? I have. When beginning something from an infancy phase, there is an extreme amount of work that goes into the planning. The group has to labor for hours, to plan and project, to imagine and create, to understand and appoint, to research and resolve, etc. There’s a hard labor that goes into planning. Imagine spending days, weeks, sometimes months working on the project, but never getting it off the ground? That’s wasted time and energy. What I love about God is, He never allows His labor to be wasted. He makes certain that His plan is fulfilled to His liking and design.

There’s a labored plan we are walking out. We have no right to quit. The hard part has been done (God did that), we need to stay on task with His plan.
